Growing demand for circular packaging

24 March 2026 eleonora News 1506

The Every Can Counts 2025 report highlights increased environmental awareness and clear expectations for industry and brands.

AWARENESS AND MATERIAL CHOICE

The demand for sustainable packaging continues to grow internationally. This is according to the Global Recycling Habits and Attitudes 2025 report by Every Can Counts, presented on World Can Day. The survey, conducted among over 16,000 people in 16 countries, including Italy, highlights a growing environmental awareness among consumers: nearly 9 out of 10 respondents recognize the urgency of addressing issues such as climate change, waste pollution, and sustainable material management.

Over 70% of people consider plastic and waste a significant problem and are demanding concrete solutions along the entire supply chain. In this context, there is growing interest in materials such as aluminum, appreciated for its infinite recyclability without loss of quality and its ability to maintain the energy and economic value of the resources used over time.

THE ROLE OF CONSUMERS AND COMPANIES

The report reveals strong expectations for brands and industry: 87% demand fully or infinitely recyclable packaging.

The study also highlights a shift in the way the concept of circularity is interpreted. For one in two people, circular packaging is packaging that, once recycled, returns to its original function. In line with this vision, 57% of respondents consider packaging designed to be reused in the same production cycle, such as aluminum cans, to be truly recyclable.

At the same time, an information gap emerges: only 17% of respondents currently identify cans as the most recyclable packaging. This figure highlights the need to strengthen information and awareness about material recycling. The report also confirms a shared responsibility throughout the supply chain: more than half attribute consumers the primary role in proper recycling, but industry, brands, waste management, and institutions remain key players. It is no coincidence that 87% of people believe that companies and manufacturers should be required to use fully recyclable packaging or packaging made from recycled materials.

Cassoli Group: a Christmas of sharing, community, and authentic values

22 December 2025 eleonora Events, News 1254

For Christmas 2025, the Cassoli Group is renewing its tradition of unity and solidarity, celebrating the holidays with initiatives that put people and the value of being together at the center.

AN OPPORTUNITY TO SHARE MOMENTS AND VALUES

For Christmas 2025, the Cassoli Group renewed a tradition that transcends the holidays: a precious moment to gather, feel part of a community, and celebrate what unites its members every day. This year’s initiatives focused on teamwork, closeness, and the joy of being together.

The Christmas season was, once again, a special opportunity to strengthen internal bonds and reaffirm the sense of belonging that characterizes the Cassoli Group.

The Christmas Lunch, held on Thursday, December 19th, brought employees together and offered a few hours of conviviality and warmth. The event was held on-site, within the Casalecchio production area, where the chef specially commissioned for the occasion prepared the now-traditional Valencian paella. A simple yet meaningful gesture, it reinforced the value of this event.

The day once again highlighted what defines the Group: collaboration, respect, team spirit, and the desire to share and celebrate the year’s milestones together.

A CHRISTMAS OF SOLIDARITY AND CLOSENESS TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY

This year, the Cassoli Group once again wanted to renew its support for the local community with a concrete gesture of solidarity. As is tradition, the company chose to support local businesses through the purchase of gift baskets combining locally sourced tortellini, made by a local producer using a machine designed and built by the Cassoli Group, and panettone or pandoro from the ANT Foundation, thus contributing to the association’s valuable mission in cancer care. This gesture combines innovation, local community, and solidarity, transforming every gift into a symbol of care and sharing.

The day concluded with the usual Christmas Lottery, which provided a moment of collective participation. Gifts and baskets received from suppliers were raffled, in full compliance with the company policy of not allowing personal gifts, thus transforming every gift into an opportunity for sharing and transparency.

Social commitment: a constant for the Cassoli Group

15 December 2025 eleonora News 1224

The Cassoli Group strengthens its social commitment by continuing to support the Il Sole Solidarity Emporium and the AGITO association in their Pet Therapy project at the Rizzoli Hospital.

CASSOLI GROUP CONTINUES TO SUPPORT THE “LATTE AL SOLE” INITIATIVE

For the third consecutive year, the Cassoli Group is delighted to renew its support for the “Latte al Sole” project.

Latte al Sole, a project promoted by the Il Sole Solidarity Emporium in Casalecchio di Reno, is an initiative that benefits twice: it provides tangible assistance to families in need and offers students of the A. Serpieri Agricultural Institute a farm-to-table experience. They work to collect locally sourced milk, purchased from local farmers, and transform it into yogurt and cheese, which will then be distributed to families in need.

A clear example of how collaboration between companies and schools can promote and spread good practices at all ages and in all contexts, igniting hope for a brighter and more inclusive future.

WE SUPPORT PET THERAPY: AN ALLIANCE FOR MANY SMILES

In a shared desire to do good, the Cassoli Group, AGITO – the Association of Parents Together with Bone Tumors, and the ChiaraMilla amateur sports association have collaborated on a Pet Therapy project for children and adults in the oncology departments of Rizzoli Hospital.

Studies and research show that pet therapy brings concrete benefits in various areas: psychological and emotional, cognitive, physical and social.

This confirms how a synergistic collaboration between companies, associations, and healthcare institutions can generate a significant impact with concrete results. This is invaluable assistance that the Cassoli family is happy to support.

It’s more than just pet therapy: it’s a humane gesture and proof that together we can do more.
