Born in 1933, Paolo Cassoli showed a strong talent for invention from a very young age: in 1949, at just 16 years old, he filed his first patent, a device for stretching clotheslines on terraces. In 1964 he founded Cassoli Macchine Automatiche, creating the first Italian machine for packaging multiple packs of toilet rolls in a garage. That machine, the RA/CI, is now preserved at the Museum of Industrial Heritage in Bologna.
Alongside his son Stefano, Paolo Cassoli has guided the growth of the group until it became a solid reality, with over 250 employees and numerous international patents.
